My hunting passion was introduced to me at a young age by my Dad and Godfather (Tony Hawkins) who never missed a chance to get me in the outdoors. To help pay my way through college I played baseball, RA in the dorm, sang in the choir, and trained dogs. During these 5 years I trained about 20 dogs and loved doing it.
After college I was fortunate enough to land a job traveling down the Mississippi flyway guiding waterfowl hunts. In the summers I would book hunts for the upcoming year and this is what I lived and breathed for a few years. After working in the summers in Alaska with Bridgett's dad Allen, I realized that one day we would move to Alaska. Well that reality came true and now I live in Nome AK with my wonderful family: Bridgett (wife), Remington, Tuvuk, and Girlfriend(Retired Sled Dog). I have been in the banking world for 4 years now and I am almost done with my MBA. I am starting this blog to post and track my training schedule with my new retriever Tuvuk. We will also be posting information about my wife's sled dog races from time-to-time.
