Gun Work

Today was a beautiful day in Nome.  It was about 10 degrees and very light wind so we took advantage of this time and worked Tuvuk again with a gun.  In this video Bridgett was our shooter.  We mainly focused on single retrieves and working the gun closer.  The video was interupted after Tuvuk knocked over the tripod and the camera ended up in the snow.  By the end of the session Bridgett was able to shoot the gun right next to me and this did not phase Tuvuk.

  1. Love it and I love seeing ya'll even though you are 4,000 miles away. Keep up the great work and don't be too hard on the baby boy!

  2. Most people that have never trained a pup don't realize how much patience it takes, hope no permanent damage to the equipment. Although the climax to this video may not have been amusing to you, it was somewhat humorus to watch. You know me and my sense of humor. There were a couple of other parts to this video that I found quite amusing. The first being when you told Bridgett to "aim the opposite direction when she shoots". I thought this was excellent advise for any husband to give his wife. The other was you might have been able to save the camera if you had not stepped in that knee deep ditch beside you. That one kinda reminded me of Levi trying to save the chair from going in the lake at Greers Ferry. Anyway, good job on the gun training, I don't think Tuvuk being gun shy is going to be a problem. Enjoyed the video.
    Love,
    Dad
